London Safeguarding Adults Conference 2025

  • Date and time: Wednesday 19 November 2025, 9 AM to 1 PM
  • Platform: Microsoft Teams

Curiosity and capability: Inclusive safeguarding in practice with adults

This year’s London SAB conference aims to create a space to explore cultural capability and equity in adult safeguarding.

The conference seeks to spark ideas that can take root and develop in our safeguarding practice. To reach all communities, prevent abuse and neglect, and respond effectively when it occurs, our approaches to safeguarding should reflect, respect and be sensitive to the diverse cultures, values, beliefs, backgrounds and experiences of individuals and communities.

As part of this, we will be shining a light on discriminatory abuse, which remains under-reported and frequently overlooked. We will explore how professional curiosity, and respectful uncertainty can support more inclusive and effective safeguarding practice.

The online conference offers an engaging space to hear from speakers, learn from best practice examples and consider what we need to build confidence and continually develop our skills and knowledge, to embed cultural capability in our approaches and champion equity in adult safeguarding. The conference will also mark the launch of the revised Pan-London Safeguarding Procedures.

The conference is aimed at people working at all levels with adult safeguarding responsibilities.
